Creamy and delicious, avocado is a nutritious fat to add to any purée. You can add some raw garlic before mashing if baby is getting sick—it’s a great way to boost the immune system.
¼ avocado
¼ pear*
1. Remove the pit from the avocado and scoop out the flesh with a spoon. Peel the pear.
2. Mash together or use your hand blender/chopper. Serve immediately. Makes about 1 cup (250 mL).
* Papaya or banana can be used as well as or instead of pear. Next time add some blueberries.
