
Don’t be afraid to serve your baby this purée, even though it can be messy! Keep in mind, it does have a little texture from the skins, so it might be best to wait until four or more foods are introduced. Expect blueberry poo to change to a dark color as well.
Directions:
2½ cups (625 mL) frozen or fresh wild blueberries
Steam blueberries until just heated through, about 5 to 7 minutes. Purée until smooth, about 5 minutes, adding ½ to 1 cup (125 to 250 mL) water, depending on how much has come out of the blueberries while steaming. Makes about 2⅓ cups (575 mL).
