Carrot Finger-Food Pieces

baby bitescanada (Nov.16.10)

Carrots are chock-full of nutrients, including an alphabet of vitamins as well as dietary fiber. Here, a simple way to get more of the good-for-your-eyes veggie.

Directions:

Peel or scrub 8 carrots and dice. Steam until tender, about 20 minutes. Serve alongside any meal for your 9 to 12-month-old.

Alternatively, freeze in ice cube trays and store in freezer bag. To defrost, drop in hot water or leave out for about an hour.
