Working parents do so much. I can’t make a list of all the things they're responsible for, because I’ll exceed my word count and still not get a sixth of the way through the list. suffice it to say, being a working parent is not easy and while it's rewarding in some ways, it's thankless in others. The family doesn’t necessarily factor in all that you do at work when they need and expect things from you at home. And you can bet that organizations aren’t spending a lot of time thinking about your responsibilities at home when they need and expect things from you at work. It's not easy to balance. But kudos to you: take pause, give yourself a break and pat yourself on the back. You’ve earned it.
