About Neige Var
Once upon a time, Neige Var was an operating room nurse and downtown dweller who leisurely spent her time dining out or entertaining friends. The birth of her son changed all that. Now she's a snap-happy suburban mom on unpaid leave with a knack for organizing play dates. Check in with Neige as she continues to adjust to her new role, her new location and her new life.

When MySweetBaby editor Heather Camlot asked me to review new eco-friendly baby and toddler products by ZoLi, I couldn’t say yes fast enough. I love discovering great products and sharing the news with friends and family. Here’s my take:
ZoLi for Baby
Baby Ohm mat: I don’t leave home without the super-portable and oh-so-C-U-T-E Baby Ohm diaper changing mat. It’s like a mini yoga mat, even made from the same materials, which in this case are PVC- and latex-free, non-skid and water-resistant. I use it as both a soft barrier between Nevan and the many questionable surfaces out in the world and as a yoga mat for Nevan during our mom and baby yoga classes.
Silicone teethers: Although Nevan isn’t quite teething yet, he seems to be enjoying the tactile textures of the Munch teethers, which come in three different shapes. I’m also liking the gummy stick, which is a teething stick or gum massager with textured nubs on one end that is supposed to mimic a toothbrush and promote early oral hygiene. Happy to know it has a choke-shield to prevent over-insertion. It will be interesting to try out when Nevan gets to that stage.
Anti-colic bottles: Like most bottles nowadays, ZoLi’s are BPA- and phthalate-free. These have an added advantage of coming fitted with a silicone nipple that has a built-in valve to reduce colic. We’ve been trying to get Nevan to take to the bottle and that alone deserves its very own write up. These bottles are quite aesthetic-pleasing, with their fun pop of color, and they are quite comfy to hold, especially when trying to coax a most uncooperative baby.

Sumo snack stacker: Lately, I feel like I’m packing everything and the kitchen sink when we go out. The Sumo on-the-go travel formula and snack dispenser has four compartments that stack one on top of the other, making it a great space-saver in any diaper bag. What I love is that I can take all four compartments or just one or two, depending on what I need. For my picky eater, it keeps his snacks fresh and separate.
Matties: Speaking of eating, the Matties silicone placemats are just great. They provide a CLEAN surface when we dine out with Neelan. When we’re done, they’re easy to clean, roll up really tightly and take up little space. Bonus: they come in packs of two, so Nevan will have his own when the time comes.
Bot sippy cup: The Bot’s straw is designed with a weight to keep it in the liquid, letting Neelan drink up without much effort. Its bright color makes it easy to find in the dark depths of any bag.
Okay, so you’ve probably figured out by now that I quite like the Zoli products. They make life on the go with two a little more colorful, a little easier and a lot more eco-friendly. Welcome to peace of mind.
