Baby Bib Embroidery Kit from Chronicle Books, $17. Available through amazon.ca.
Let me start off by saying that the last time I did any embroidery I was in kindergarten. But when my friend announced she was having a baby, I wanted to find something that I could personalize and something that was easy and fun to do.
The Baby Bib Embroidery Kit turned out to be the perfect thing. It is an all-inclusive kit, with two bibs and no hoop required. The instructions are easy for a beginner, albeit the print is a little small for tired mommy eyes. My biggest issue with my little project is that I am ironing-impaired. This kit comes with six reusable transfers with cute designs; my challenge was to get a design transferred onto the fabric. After a few failed attempts, I finally preheated the fabric enough and the design transferred onto the bib without problem. The stitch work was fun to do and I now have a cute snail bid as a unique gift for my friend’s baby.
This kit makes a perfect gift for you or a friend!
