Hydration, hydration, hydration. The human body is up to 75% water, and everything from metabolism to brain function is compromised when your hydration levels are even slightly diminished. In the summer heat, nursing mothers need to be even more careful to replenish lost fluids. Here’s a great trick to help you keep track of the 2-3 L you need per day. Place 6 rubber bands over your 500mL bottle, or 3 bands over a 1L bottle. Each time you finish and refill your bottle, remove one rubber band and place it in your purse. Once you’ve gone through all the bands, you know you’ve had enough water for the day. Then, have one more bottle for good health!
