Whether you're caring for a newborn, an infant, a baby or a toddler, you're going to get stressed out. The trick is how to deal with that stress: Place your child in his or her crib with some safe toys and music, and close the door. If your child is older, ask a neighbor, a family member or a friend if they can look after him or her for a few minutes. Lay down on your bed, take some deep breaths, do a yoga move or two. Splash your face with water, roll your neck and shoulders a few times, have a glass of water. Jump around to music, read a quick article, have a small bowl of ice cream. The point is, take a break. It's good for you. And it's good for your little one.
