About Arren Williams
If Arren Williams were to walk through one of those new scanners at the airport, security personnel might be surprised to see chairs, tables and lamps floating around in his head. As one of Canada’s top stylists, editors and trend reporters, he is always on the hunt for the next great find that could take a room from blah to spectacular.

No need to get hot under the collar – I'm not going to try and get you involved in counting cards at a casino, or setting up the design equivalent of a pyramid scheme. Nope, this week I'm on the hunt for some swish numbers to dress up a front door or two. Lately you might have seen me wandering through all the regular home-reno big-box stores looking for inspiration, since I've been on the hunt for house numbers. Fun? Err, no. All that's happened is I've found myself getting more depressed by the second with the rather dismal selection available. Well, rather than give up entirely and let the neighbour's kids have a go with a box of crayons, I turned to one of my favourite resources – Etsy – and found a pretty swell selection.
Now, there's way more than I'm showing you here, but these were definite standouts for me and absolutely jam-packed with style, starting with this peel-and-stick vinyl sign from Piccadilly Peddler. I think the pale creamy beige lettering on this black-gloss painted panelled door looks super-handsome (Farrow & Ball's Off-Black is my top pick for a front door, by the way), and would give just about any front door a very chic, traditional vibe.
