About Arren Williams
If Arren Williams were to walk through one of those new scanners at the airport, security personnel might be surprised to see chairs, tables and lamps floating around in his head. As one of Canada’s top stylists, editors and trend reporters, he is always on the hunt for the next great find that could take a room from blah to spectacular.

Yes, I blab on to you guys all the time about colour, but I just can’t get enough of it, and I’m on a mission to wake you all up to the fact that using beige, and beige alone, isn’t cool!
Now, shall we head to the table? For me, white plates are a must – ask any chef and they’ll tell you that food looks freshest on white – but you have to find a way to sneak some extra colour in there if you can, which is why I’m truly, madly and deeply in LOVE with Canadian designer Avril Loreti’s latest endeavour, Paint Chip Placemats.
The cotton and linen printed placemats are each striped with four colours (each with peppy made-up names in both English and French) and can be ordered in Orange, Red, Teal, Green, Purple and Blue. And hey, who’s to say you can’t take your placemat to the paint store and actually match it up to a colour?
Now that would be both colourful and fun!
