About Arren Williams
If Arren Williams were to walk through one of those new scanners at the airport, security personnel might be surprised to see chairs, tables and lamps floating around in his head. As one of Canada’s top stylists, editors and trend reporters, he is always on the hunt for the next great find that could take a room from blah to spectacular.

Anyone who knows me really really well knows that I am a total nutbar when it comes to tea towels. In fact, my friend Samantha Pynn got me this fantastic one by Emma Bridgewater for my birthday the other day to add to my collection (I must have at least 30 or more). A rather bizarre thing to collect, yes, but terribly useful!
The vintage Charles and Di one on the left there, I grabbed for a couple of bucks a few years back from Goodwill and it has been a firm fave ever since, hanging proudly – and royally – on my Jenn-Air stove. I love its kitsch value and, as a friend noted, the ‘happy’ couple are so oddly tanned that they look like they’ve been dipped in a strong cup of Orange Pekoe.
This funky, fun and waaaay more modern William and Kate one on the right is the latest to fuel my tea-towel addiction. Designed by Susan Taylor of TaylorsType and available on Etsy, it’s definitely far too cool to be an official Royal Wedding souvenir, though who can resist a tea towel printed with a corgi waving a Union Jack flag?
Definitely not me.
