I love watching the Oscars. What's not to love? The gowns, the hair, the jewels...who am I kidding? I'm watching for the ugly dresses, the what-was-she-thinking makeup, the gaffs, the scowls shot at cowering publicists and, my personal favourite, the uncomfortable cutaways during the show (remember when Jennifer Aniston presented and they cut to Brad and Angelina looking straight ahead with concrete smiles? That's the stuff I watch for). I've said it before and I'll say it again. Who doesn't enjoy judging people they don't know based soley on appearance? Please. That's how Hollywood as we know it was built.
Needless to say I'll be watching on Sunday night. In case you're having some friends over to watch the show, I thought I'd toss out a few ideas for throwing a last-minute Oscar viewing party.

Make it fun
I love this bingo card from Jessica Jones of How About Orange. Her downloadable game includes squares like, Winner makes political comment in speech and Christian Bale spotted with Jesus-like hair to Winner attempts to exit stage in wrong direction, which will help keep guests awake during the yawn-inducing lighting and sound editing portion of the night.

Go the extra mile
You don't need to spend a ton of money to make your party memorable. I found these gold and black-themed printouts on Hostessblog.com that will give the party some glamour.

Feed 'em good
This one's important. Don't forget to swing by SweetHome this Thursday. We've got an Oscar-worthy roundup of amazing appetizers that would make Wolfgang Puck proud.
Will you be watching this Sunday? Let us know who you think will win and what you love best about the show.
