About Chantel Simmons
Some girls dream of walk-in shoe closets. Chantel dreams of walk-in craft closets. A former crafter for HGTV, Chantel's now sharing her project plans with you. Check back every Friday as she offers up an easy-to-make or easy-to-bake craft you can give to a friend or keep for yourself.
Full disclosure: I didn’t come up with this recipe myself. Our own Sweetspot.ca tech queen Danielle brought them in one day – but after much begging, she coerced her friend to share the recipe with me and I immediately went home to make them myself. Not only are these mini-burger bites so easy to make, but they’re the perfect dessert to bring to a casual barbecue or a kids’ birthday party.

Ingredients
24 vanilla wafers
12 Turtles
3 tubes of decorator icing: red, yellow and green
Maple syrup
Sesame seeds
Directions
Line 12 vanilla wafers on a cookie sheet. Put dab of icing on each wafer then place a Turtle on top. Dress your “patty” with ketchup, mustard and relish using the decorator icing tubes (and a fine tip). Dip the remaining 12 vanilla wafers in maple syrup and then sesame seeds and place on top of the burger.
