Apparently, I order takeout. A lot. Because I have an entire drawer filled with unopened packages of takeout chopsticks. Do you have the same problem. If so, this easy craft will not only use the chopsticks (freeing up precious drawer space) but make them last more than than just one meal.
What You'll Need
7 chopsticks
Wood or carpenter's glue
Glue gun
Fabric ribbon
Sandpaper
Sharp knife or Xacto knife
Measuring tape or ruler
Directions
1. Measure 6 inches on the chopsticks, starting at the joined end.
2. Using an Xacto knife, create a crease all the way around each chopstick.
3. Break the chopsticks at the crease, keeping the joined end intact.
4. Use the sandpaper to file the rough edge until it's smooth.
5. Repeat on the remaining chopsticks.
6. Lay the chopsticks side by side, alternating the joined ends.
7. Use wood glue to affix edges together.
8. Wrap strips of ribbon around coaster and glue ends together on back side using glue gun.
