O Christmas Card
make-it session canada
(Nov.27.09)
You could buy mass-produced holiday cards made from recycled paper, but these homemade cards are both eco-friendly and nearly free! Plus, they'll fill your home with the scent of evergreen (and holiday spirit!) as you make them.
What You Need
Tips of evergreen tree branches (about six inches). Tip: Don't steal from the tree in your neighbour's front lawn -- try a park or wooded trail instead.
Spray glue or glue gun
White cardstock and envelopes
Directions
1. Fold and cut your cardstock to the appropriate size for your envelopes.
2. Trim your tree so that it fits the front of the card.
3. Spray the front of the card or apply a few drops of glue and apply "tree", making sure to spread branches to make a nice tree shape.
4. Inscribe the inside of the card with warm wishes to your friends and family!
