Our space-deprived abode isn’t stopping us from having a tree and decorating it too. Adorable miniature evergreen trees – readily available at grocery stores and flower shops – are our perfect solution. Decked out in a metallic painted pot and wrapped in pretty ribbon, they’re ready for the mantel, buffet or windowsill and make for great hostess presents, too.
What You'll Need:
Potted mini tree
Ceramic or terra-cotta pot with saucer (available at nurseries or sometimes even dollar stores)
Silver spray paint
Satin or grosgrain ribbon
Moss (available at most flower shops)
Potting soil
Directions:
1. In a well ventilated area, spray paint the pot and saucer. Let dry.
2. Re-pot the mini tree in the painted pot (use extra potting soil, if needed).
3. Moisten the moss with a spray bottle and place it around the base of the tree.
4. Tie the ribbon around the pot.
