Pen Petals

(Apr.09.10)
Want to add a touch of spring to your office – and ensure no one steals your favourite pens? I took my inspiration for this idea from Crafters for Kids, a fun site full of easy to make projects. I modified the Flower Pen Arrangement , so my instructions are below, but if you’d rather make a full arrangement, follow the instructions on the original site instead.
What You’ll Need
Pens (I like gel pens with coloured stems. Make sure they have a cap instead of push top)
Fabric/plastic flowers
Scissors
Pliers
Directions
1. Snip stem of flower to about 6 inches from flower
2. Slide the stem under the pen cap hook, then bend and wind stem around base of flower, using pliers to hide the end of the stem under the petals.
Tip: Add the pen to the top of a present in lieu of a bow, or in a bunch as a bouquet for a friend who loves to writer.
Thought that was sweet? You'll enjoy:
