School’s out, but don’t put away the chalk and chalkboard paint just yet. Here’s a cute craft project that would also make a perfect mid-summer hostess gift for the foodie in your life. The best part? The pots are can be reused each season: just wash and start fresh.
What you’ll need:
Small terracotta pots
Chalkboard paint (available at Canadian Tire)
Chalk
Herbs or small plants
Newspaper
Directions:
Lay newspaper down in a dry, well ventilated place (outdoors or in a garage).
Spray pots with chalkboard paint in quick, sweeping spurts (to avoid runs and drips) and let dry for at least 24 hours. Re-spray as needed to ensure surface is smooth and evenly covered.
Place herbs or small plants in pots. Using chalk, write the name of the plant on the pot.
