Add a rosemary twist to your favourite summer cocktail and it's perfect for holiday entertaining.
Ingredients
1-3/4 oz Bacardi Superior Rum
1 oz fresh lemon juice (3/4 of a lemon, cut in 4 pieces)
1 oz ginger syrup (see below)
2 rosemary sprigs
Soda to top
Directions
1. Pull leaves from a rosemary sprig and drop them into a highball glass. Add the lemon and crush it slightly with a muddler.
2. Add 13/4 oz Bacardi Superior and 1 oz ginger syrup.
3. Fill the glass with ice. Top with soda, stir well and garnish with a rosemary sprig and lemon zest.
Ginger syrup: Peel a full ginger root and cut it in very small pieces until you get a 1/4 cup. Add 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water in a sauce pan and bring to a boil. Let mixture sit for 15 minutes and then strain out the ginger. Cool before using. Refrigerate when not in use.
