A Most-Impressive Pinot Gris

wine of the week: 2011 françois lurton pinot gris canada (Jan.06.12)

What: 2011 François Lurton Pinot Gris Reserva
From: Uco Valley, Argentina
Price: $11.95
Score: 87/100

A zippy white wine with terrific grapefruit notes and refreshing lime and herbal zest. Medium-bodied with no heavy oak. This wine is perfect for your New Year's resolution to eat a little lighter after the holidays as it pairs beautifully with white fish, salads and vegetarian dishes. I also love it for movie night as an aperitif to sip on while watching The Help.
