We can't wait to sip and serve these must-try vinos…
 |
Wayne Gretzky 2006 No. 99 Shiraz Icewine
($55.10)
If you’re wondering if The Great One's success on the ice transfers to the bottle, the answer is yes. This icewine is unique because it's made from Shiraz grapes. Perfect for winter, and best paired with cheese or chocolate.

Niagara College Teaching Winery 2007 Dean's List Chardonnay
($28.15)
A gold winner at the 2007 Ontario Wine Awards, this vino will knock your socks off. It has a great mouth feel and tastes the way an oaked chardonnay should. Try it with chicken, creamy soups or buttered popcorn. Tip: Chill it for about 20 minutes before enjoying (you don’t want to serve this one too cold).

Irony California 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon
($19.95)
This cabernet is a true California-style red. Its flavour is big and bold, and at under $20 it's a steal. Plus, it’s the perfect bottle to curl up with in front of the fireplace on a cold night – or match it a steak or a game dinner.

 |
Creekside Estates 2007 Shiraz
($15.95)
Another example of a shiraz doing exceptionally well in Niagara, this vino has classic flavours, but is slightly drier than the typical jammy-sweet Australian variety. Try it with a meaty stew or pizza.

Peller Signature Series Ice Cuvée Sparkling Wine
($29.95)
This sparkling wine is a must-try classic. It’s made the same way as Champagne and is uniquely Canadian with a splash (about 1 oz) of Vidal Icewine added to the mix. This gives it a delightful flavour and sweetness. We also love their new Ice Cuvée Rosé.
