Next time, we’re going with Authentic Milk Paints by Homestead House. Made in Canada using an old-fashioned, non-chemical formula, the paint is a powder that you simply add water to and stir. Due to its super-absorbing properties, the paint won’t chip or peel and will last for ages, especially when sealed with hemp oil or beeswax. There are 45 stellar colours available, and if none of them suit, mixing two or three together to create the perfect hue is completely doable. As an extra bonus, there are no bulky cans or pails to be delivered to the recycling depot – and, that doesn’t stink.
