Hosting a wine and cheese party is one of the simplest soirees you can throw. Get set with our guide — which includes chic accessories along with some picks for cheese and vino — and we promise your party will be a smashing success.

Serving Tips and Tricks:

  • Take your cheese out of the refrigerator about an hour before you plan on serving it
  • Avoid serving wine that’s overly chilled with your cheeses as the cold temperature will cause the fat from the cheese to solidify on the palate
  • If you’re serving mainly cheese, plan for five different types of cheese and about 150 grams per person for a party of six to eight people
  • Be sure to include a variety of cheese: soft, semi-sort, hard and blue-veined
  • Every cheese should have its own knife so flavours don’t get mixed together

  • As a general rule of thumb, red wines pair well with hard cheeses while white wines will complement softer cheeses
