Magical is the best word I can think of to describe the town of Kohler, Wisconsin. I recently traveled there to scout the Kohler Co. design center for inspiration.
I (ignorantly) expected a simple showroom in an industrial suburb but was delightfully surprised at the gem of a community the Kohler family had created around their business. Lush gardens, abundant wilderness, five-star restaurants (serving some of the best meals I have ever tasted), a luxurious spa, two award-winning golf courses and a five-diamond resort hotel are just some of the highlights of the town.
But I was on a design mission so my focus was on finding the latest trends in bath, kitchen and spa fixtures and accessories. Here are some of my favourite results:

Tip of the Hat
Compact and sleek, this hatbox toilet proves that less is more. I think this style would be the perfect complement for many of the masculine-inspired bathrooms we are seeing on the pages of décor magazines.

Make a Statement
I WANT this retro-inspired sink for my loft! I think that too often we opt for a simple modern sink when something more delicate and ornamental would complement an urban space.

Golden Rule
The Karbon facet is designed to reach every possible angle of a sink and it’s now available in gold.

Colour Your World
Colour in the bathroom and kitchen has made a huge comeback. This foam green enamel sink would look great in an all white kitchen, while the purple tub would complement a grey en suite.

Sinking Feeling
Kohler employees an internationally-based design team to develop exciting new products. This global focus is reflected in the design of these two ornate sinks. Both are perfect options for a powder room.
