Finding the Hottest Hot Sauce

The inspiration: To the untrained palate, all hot sauces taste the same (hot). But to the hot sauce connoisseur, they range in taste and temperature. We held a blind tasting of five grocery store brands to see which hot sauce would have us blowing smoke and which would satisfy our spicy cravings.
The testers: Seven brave souls from the sweetspot.ca team
The sauces:
1. Frank's Red Hot Sauce, $5.
2. Maçarico Piri Piri, $3.80.
3. President's Choice Hot Sauce, $1.50.
4. McIlhenny Co. Tabasco, $4.
5. Y&Y Brand Hot Chilli Sauce, $5.
