Ingredients
300 grams Upper Canada Comfort Cream, whole
2 tablespoons walnuts, roasted and chopped
1 tablespoon dried local cranberries, chopped
1 tablespoon local honey
60 grams puff pastry sheet, cut in 12" round
1 egg, beaten
Directions
1. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Mix 3/4 of the walnuts, cranberries and honey together and press on top of cheese round.
3. Cover cheese with puff pastry tucking the sheet underneath and sealing. With a pastry brush, apply egg to the top of pastry wrapped cheese and top with remaining walnut, cranberry and honey.
4. Place on non-stick cookie sheet and bake until pastry is golden brown, about 15 minutes.
5. Serve warm with your favourite local artisan breads and crackers.
