Chips and dip get a grown up makeover simply by making your own pita triangles.
Ingredients
Four 6-inch pitas (one 8-ounce package)
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 tablespoon dried mint
1 tablespoon dried thyme
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
2. Split the whole pitas into eight rounds. Stack them, then cut the stacks into quarters. Place the pita slices in a single layer on a sheet pan (use two pans if they don’t fit comfortably). Sprinkle with the olive oil, cumin, mint, thyme, sesame seeds, red pepper flakes, and salt. Place in the oven and cook, without turning, for 4 to 5 minutes. Remove and serve.
