Choosing the Recipe

A few days after we decided that we were finally going to undertake making a brisket, we were fretting about side dishes. What do you serve with a huge piece of beef that needs to be cooked two days in advance of serving?

Fortunately, Sian subscribes to about every recipe email on the planet and a well timed Challah recipe from Chow.com saved the day. Even if we didn’t have anything else to serve with the brisket (and in the end, we also had glazed carrots and savoury kugel), the challah would be the perfect accompaniment.
