Choosing the Recipe

You've probably guessed by now that one of our cooking principles is making things that look fancy and complicated but are actually pretty easy. When it comes to baking, scones are one such thing. The first time Sian made scones for David, she ended up using a recipe found at The Joy of Baking because she had forgotten to buy cream of tartar as specified in most other scone recipes. It worked out so well it's become a house favourite, especially since it doesn't really require any fancy ingredients or kitchen tools for the scones themselves.
