Deck Your Tree With a Sweet Clay Ornament

There's nothing like a little handmade touch when it comes to your tree ornaments. These clay ornaments can be personalized to make great gifts and can even be used as gift tags.
You'll Need:
Polymer clay
Metal letter stamps
Acrylic paint
Paint brush
Rolling pin
Smooth cutting board or piece of glass
Cookie cutters
Bamboo skewer
Popsicle sticks
Baking sheet lined with parchment paper
Damp cloth
Ribbon or twine
Directions:
1. Knead your clay so it's pliable.
2. Lay down two popsicle sticks on the cutting board or glass piece and roll out the clay using the sticks as a guide. This will help you 3. roll out the clay evenly.
4. Use the cookie cutter to cut out the desired shape.
5. Use the bamboo skewer to poke a hole near the top of your shape. Be sure to twist it so that it goes straight through.
6. Move the clay shape to the cookie sheet.
7. Use the metal letters to spell out desired word or phrase.
8. Bake the clay ornament according to the directions on your clay package.
9. Once baked and cool, brush on the acrylic paint (no need to be neat here). Allow to dry for 5 minutes then wipe the paint off with a damp cloth. Set aside to dry.
10. Thread the ribbon or twine through the top hole and knot.
