Floating Bookshelf Tutorial
handmade with style: floating shelves canada
(Jan.27.12)

My book collection is getting out of control, so I decided to come up with an easy and inexpensive option to display my books. These floating bracket shelves can be used in any room in the house and are perfect for small apartments!
You'll need:
Metal L bracket (2 per shelf)
Pencil
Level
Screws
Anchors
Drill and bits or screw driver
Directions:
1. Decide where you want the bottom book to sit and set a bracket in place. Mark the holes of the bracket with a pencil. Set the bracket aside.
2. Pre-drill a quarter inch hole where the pencil markings are. Drill an anchor into the hole.
3. Put the bracket back into place on the wall and screw into the drywall.
4. Repeat the above steps with the second bracket using the level to make sure both brackets are at an even level.
5. Stack your books on the brackets.
