Merry Melodies

(Dec.22.09)
As I've mentioned, I love the holidays and just as essential as baking cookies and wrapping the presents is the music in my household. Both T. and agree that the minute December hits it's time to break out our favourite holiday CDs. They help to get us into the spirit and often remind of us the true meaning of the season. Here's what's setting the mood in the Rogers' residence at the moment.

Retro Tunes
Ever since I married T. I can't imagine Christmas without Ultra Lounge: Christmas Cocktails volumes one, two and three ($14 per CD, available at www.amazon.ca).
|
 |
Festive Favourite
From card writing to cookie baking, my favourite accompaniment is the original A Charlie Brown Christmas soundtrack by Vince Guaraldi ($18, available at www.chapters.indigo.ca).
|
 |
Swing Spirit
I have a little crush on Harry Connick Jr., especially when he's singing carols from his CD Harry for the Holidays ($13, available at www.chapters.indigo.ca).

Christmas Classic
What would the holidays be without Bing, I ask you? T. and I watch White Christmas (along with Holiday Inn and It's a Wonderful Life) every year. The soundtrack is timeless. ($8, available at www.amazon.ca)

Rockin' Around the Tree
Another T. addition to the holidays is the King. He couldn't live without Elvis's If Everyday Was Like Christmas album ($19, www.chapters.indigo.ca).
