Not quite two years ago I was invited to join the sweetspot.ca family to build the foundation for the SweetHome brand. It was an exciting opportunity that I just couldn't pass up. I was ready to tackle a new challenge and eager to start making life at home more comfortable for sweetspotters across Canada. Talk about a no regrets decision.
The last year and a half has been quite an adventure. We launched SweetHome with a bang and the Sweetest Giveaway Yet and since then have been bringing you the sweetest finds for home decor and entertaining Canada (and sometimes beyond) have to offer. My amazing team has worked tirelessly to introduce you to amazing new products, top industry experts and delicious recipes day after day. They, and our talented network of freelancers, are what have truly made my job a pleasure. They're the best and work often feels more like play when our team gets together.
It's thanks to this team that I'm able to embark on my journey into motherhood worry free. This Friday I'm going to officially immerse myself in the joy that is parenthood, leaving my SweetHome and you the readers in very capable and good hands. And just to be extra sure everything runs smoothly while I'm babymooning, Gabrielle Johnson has joined the sweetspot.ca family to do a little house-sitting if you will. I can promise that you're going to love her (I already do) and you can look for her official introduction to take place next Tuesday replacing my Sarah's Space blog.
We've planned a transition so smooth that you'll barely know I've gone (hopefully I'll be able to say the same about my SweetMama initiation to come). While I am SO excited to meet Baby Rogers (21 days and counting!), I know I'm going to miss my sweet life, too, so count on seeing me in the comments section often and keeping in touch on Twitter, too.
