Maybe it's just a symptom of the time of year, but over the last few days I've come to a startling realization. I am a homebody. While walks in the Distillery, dinners out or nights on the town all sound like fun, the truth is I'd rather spend a morning browsing the St. Lawrence Market followed by an afternoon prepping for a long drawn out dinner with friends. I know it might sound boring to some but to me it's divine. There really is no place like home.
That said, I should clarify my place isn't perfect. Rather it's a barely started, never-ending work-in-progress. My husband and I took the real estate plunge last year and we bought a small condo in downtown Toronto. Sure, I think we've got the paint colours right but the window coverings are definitely wrong. Our living room is in transition and a rug really is in order. I'm also keeping an eye out for new bedding, a bed frame with storage, oh, and any closet organizing miracles I can find along the way.
But this is the way (I think) design should work. Always changing and evolving to suit our lives and needs. It's an adventure. One that I hope will keep you coming back to my blog and Sweethome often for inspiration that'll help you to love where you live, too. I'm making it my mission (and challenging my team) to bring you new and exciting products, ideas and solutions every day that will make life at home easier and more beautiful.
And the best part? Thanks to profiles and comments you can be an official member of the Sweethome household. Tell me what you like and want to see more of. Ask questions, share feedback and get to know other readers, too.
My Sweethome is your Sweethome, so I hope you'll make yourself comfortable.
