For anyone who has been following my blog, you’ve probably already guessed I’m a big supporter of local eating. And beyond just supporting local producers, I’d like to see more people doing some of their own growing at home. Even if it’s just a small herb garden, I think there is so much value in learning how much effort goes into actually growing something.
Shamefully I’m writing this after having had to throw out my own herb garden. All I had to do was water, but alas too little, too late. It sure makes me appreciate the farmers at my local market and all of their hard work. Since I obviously couldn’t be without them (maybe someday), I’m humbled by the bounty and choice I have each week.
So now that I’ve (hopefully) got you on the market bandwagon, I want to share some shopping essentials that will help make your trips more efficient, waste-free and stylish.
