While we certainly never need a reason to go shopping, the quest for the perfect gift is one we’re quick to take on.
But the ceaseless store-hopping that sometimes results (call us perfectionists) can see even our favourite pastime quickly wear thin.
Enter Twisted Goods gift boutique that cuts down quest time without even a smidgen of sacrifice on quality. The just-opened second location, unexpectedly tucked into Southcentre Mall (seriously), is three times the size of the original with shelves full of easy-to-grab gifts (even if the recipient is us).
We immediately fell for the Kafuh Japan Sushi Set ($85), perfect for our foodie friends (and prompting our own craving for some take-out). Pendants ($40-$60) by Vancouver-based designer Andrea Waines make a great grown-up friendship necklace (OK, or an excuse to get one too), while the towering 4-foot warped maple wall clock ($360) would look good in any home.
And while we went in to shop for a friend, we couldn’t help but walk out with a couple ceramic tear drop vases ($8-$14) of our own.
We’ll come back for the shower gift tomorrow.
