Hibernation season is over. We’re lacing up our runners, tuning up our bikes and hitting Calgary’s huge network of trails.
Bow River Pathway
We love this picturesque stretch of trail that runs alongside the Bow River west of Crowchild Trail to Montgomery View N.W. Best of all, when we tire of exercising, we can grab a quick bite at the Lazy Loaf and Kettle.

Glenmore Park
At several vantage points along the paved path that circles the entire reservoir, you’d swear you were nowhere near a bustling city. For an even more secluded adventure, Weaselhead Natural Area is well worth the trek.

Fish Creek Provincial Park
Billed as one of North America’s largest city parks, Fish Creek is home to more than 80 km of trails (30 km of which are paved), a manmade lake and lots of deer, coyotes, owls and beavers.

Nose Hill Natural Environment Park
Early morning runs in this grassland park are among the best in the city. The high elevation makes for some breathtaking views of the skyline and mountains.

Elbow River Pathway
The pathway that extends along the Elbow River winds through some of the city’s most charming neighbourhoods and best parks. We love venturing all the way to Glenmore Reservoir when we have lots of time (and energy!).
