We wish all our days could start like Snow White’s: filled with music, sunshine and singing birds (rather than crowded buses, freezing temperatures and blaring jackhammers).
Ensuring our day is ‘Happy’ and not ‘Grumpy’ starts with our choice of breakfast. Like a handsome prince, L’Oeufrier has arrived in Westmount ready to save our mornings. As any princess can be picky, and even moody at times (though we prefer the terms “discerning” and “pensive”), L’Oeufrier offers a vast menu of choices.
Being in a sweet yet sophisticated mood, we contemplated the fluffy blueberry crepes ($9.95) and the heavenly smoked salmon omelet ($11.95) before zeroing in on the brioche breakfast ($12.95). The first bite of this brioche and French toast fusion topped with egg, bacon and a huge bowl of seasonal fruit was music to our ears. A glass of fresh orange juice ($2.50) was added to ensure our day would not be a ‘Lazy’ one. And for those extra early days, L’Oeufrier offers an early bird special starting at 6am.
With a great start to the day, we’re living happily ever after.
