We've been sucked in by a few fancy (read: expensive) skin care products that claim to be full of natural ingredients - only to discover that reading the label requires a degree in chemistry. (What good is almond extract if it's next to Amodimethicone?)
Now we're getting our beauty fix at Dans Ta Bulle, a new eco-friendly shop that stocks its shelves with only 100% pure, organic hair care and body products (and did we mention 100% Canadian?). The enthusiastic and educated staff tests each new line on themselves before they deem it shelf-worthy. And the warm, intimate space made us feel as though we'd stumbled into our girlfriend's dressing room, complete with cozy couch.
We inhaled the sweet scent of shampoos ($9.99) from Prairie Naturals, applied luscious lotions ($32.99) from Pure + simple and discovered handcrafted soaps ($5.49) from Druide. The ultimate find? Fantastic water-based nail polish ($9.99) and natural polish remover ($5.99) from Suncoat.
Toss in mineral-based makeup ($29.99) from Accents Cosmetics and we left knowing we'd found our one-stop shopping destination for all things natural (and feeling like an informed consumer to boot).
