Mademoiselle Makeover

We love a day at the spa with our girls. Our little girls, that is. But we have a hard time shelling out $24 for a mini manicure, especially one that will chip in about 7.5 hours.

Now we can be their salon sidekicks when they visit Pinki Salon by Mademoiselle Pinki for an afternoon of primping. Their favourite South Shore destination for all things girly has now opened a full-service salon. So manis and pedis ($10 each) don't have to break the bank. Plus, they'll love Caroline, the in-store stylist, for haircuts ($18-$30) and all the added princess paraphernalia: extensions, barrettes, flowers and more.

For those extra special events, we'll splurge for the complete Pinki Look ($40), which includes hair and makeup. And knowing that they'll look as cute as a button (sorry, we mean pretty), a photo session ($70) is most definitely in order to capture the moment.

With rates this reasonable we may just think twice about switching salons ourselves… We’ll just have to settle for being the queen bee.
