Cute Hairstylists

Montreal (Apr.30.07)

Jennifer Lopez never travels without him. Jessica Simpson created a line of extensions with hers. Soon enough they’ll be getting their own stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame— and they deserve it. They are some of our favourite hairstylists and, on top of making our locks look lustrous, they too are cute. (Plus they listen to our yapping without a word of protest and that is a very attractive quality.) The creative geniuses in this week’s Best Of list are a handful of the city’s cutest coiffeurs…
    hairstylist Leroy Williams
  1. Best personal style: Simon Geyik, Mood by Pure
It’s no coincidence that Simon Geyik had a lot to do with the elegant white furniture and clean open space of his downtown salon; his own style is flawlessly put together. Classic with hints of the latest trends, Geyik spins his own interpretation of the metrosexual look with an abundance of virility. He is, as we say, very easy on the eyes.

  2. Most fun: David Devico, Queen of the World
As if visiting one of the Queen of the World locations isn’t fun enough with its eccentric décor and quirky personality, getting a haircut with cutie-pattuti David Devico adds an extra element of pure delight. He’ll have you laughing and blushing the whole time he works his magic on your locks and you’ll love it.

  3. Biggest flirt: Leroy Williams, Salon Nuda
Leroy Williams says he started as a salon assistant to meet women. And it worked. By the time he opened Salon Nuda in Westmount five years ago, he’d run his fingers through the hair of most major-name models from around the world. Add to that, Williams’s signature tailored look emanates European sophistication, making him absolutely swoon-worthy. And we’re happy to oblige.

  4. Best two-for-one hottie: Yan and Guyslain Chabot, Tonic Salon Spa
The Tonic Salon Spa motto is: Wellness, beauty and health, and totally embraces the of-the-moment hotter-than-thou holistic approach to beauty. And what a package they offer. The salon owners, broodingly handsome twin brothers Yan and Ghyslain Chabot, are not only creatively endowed but talented businessmen to boot. Who can resist?

  5. Most likely to be your BFF: Alain Larivée, CAJH Maîtres Coiffeurs
Alain Larivée knew exactly how to create the comfortable and welcoming environment he achieved with his open loft-style salon space in the up-and-coming St-Henri neighbourhood. And when he added the overstuffed chair to CAJH Maîtres Coiffeurs’s reception area, he also knew it would fit perfectly with his friendly nature and you-can-tell-me-anything eyes. So, sit, have a coffee and let it all out…
