We wouldn't call ourselves picky, but we like things a certain way. We like our lattes foamy, our yogurt frozen and our lives full of everything sweet.
We're used to custom shoes, cards and even clothing, but custom cookies is definitely a fresh idea. Brand new to the Bloor West Village is Sweet Flour Bake Shop, the first ever custom bakery.
Pick your flour (regular, peanut butter or oatmeal) and two mix-ins, and within two minutes you'll have your very own freshly baked cookie (but be careful, they're hot!) With options like milk, white or dark chocolate; cashews and pistachios; and dried cranberries and blueberries, there's a recipe for everyone.
Our custom cookie ($2.50) started with plain flour and we added almonds and milk chocolate (it took all of our willpower not to down it in one shot). With additional base options like granola ($10/lb) and muffin tops ($2.50), and a full coffee menu, Sweet Flour is our new breakfast joint too. An array of organic milk products means we can turn our granola into cereal ($4) or even a yogurt parfait ($5).
At Sweet Flour, it's all about the individual, and that's exactly the way we like it.
