Take a Road Off
InterContinental Hotel Toronto YorkvilleToronto
(Aug.01.08)
We're all for taking the road less travelled (especially if it happens to be the road with less traffic). But with gas prices, gridlocks and our renewed eco-consciousness, for our final escapes of the season we're contemplating not taking any road at all.
Admittedly, we've been influenced by the new summer packages at the InterContinental Hotel Toronto Yorkville.
Creating our own international menu with the Dine Around the World package (from $215 per night based on a 2 night minimum stay) is a delicious way to enjoy the city's finest. And an easy upgrade gets us a two-hour Chef's tour of either Kensington or St. Lawrence Market for some hot shopping tips we can actually use when we get home.
And then there's the oh-so tempting Shop and Style Passport package (from $275 per night), which includes 20% off at over 30 of our favourite Hazelton Lanes stores—not to mention a one-hour session with personal stylist Tara Posluns. (Our fall shopping efforts have never been so organized.)
With other perks like early check-in and superior rooms, we're happily unleashing our inner tourist on home turf. (And giving a whole new meaning to off-roading.)
