We’ve scoured the city for the best studios in Toronto offering hot yoga classes – nothing says sweat than five sun salutations in a row at 100 degrees.
Tula Central
Early morning and lunch-time drops-ins are easy at this conveniently located business district studio, which offers four kinds of hot yoga including Hot Fusion, a combination of yoga and pilates.
Tula Central; 30 Duncan St. (at Richmond St.); 416-599-8852; www.tulahotyoga.com; $16-$18 per class
Moksha Yoga Danforth
This studio operates on the philosophy that yoga is an ongoing process with limitless potential for improvement (read: perfection not required). We’re particularly impressed by their environmentally friendly space which features non-toxic paint and a cork floor.
Moksha Yoga; 372A Danforth Ave; 416-778-7744; www.mokshayogadanforth.com; $17 per class
889 Yonge
We love the fact that this studio offers Detox Flow hot yoga in a (slightly) less intense 85 degree environment, which is perfect for beginners (or for those of us who just can’t take the heat!).
889 Yonge St.; 416-925-7206; www.889yonge.com; $20 for introductory class
Bikram Yoga Toronto
Based on the teachings of Bikram Choudhury, the classes at Bikram Yoga Toronto are lively and invigorating. Bikram Yoga Toronto; 208 - 500 Sheppard Ave. E.; 416-250-0055; www.bikramtoronto.com; $20
The Yoga Studio
We love the fact that this studio is located right above Whole Foods so we can grab healthy (or naughty) post-workout snacks.
The Yoga Studio at the Yorkville Club; 87 Hazelton Lanes; 416-961-8400; www.theyorkvilleclub.com; $16
