We’ve almost forgotten the trucker hat trend that ruled accessories during the ’90s, and we are ecstatic that classic chapeau silhouettes have recently made a major return.
Storied hat brand, Goorin Brothers, has opened in Yaletown, offering us ways to not only hide bad hair, but also look sharp and dandy, too.
The shop – where a deep red leather button back sofa and a weathered wooden trunk anchor the room – is lined with shelves of fedoras, beanies, newsboy caps, wallets and fingerless knit gloves ($35). After chatting with store manager Matt Clayden on all things hats, we promptly pulled the owl-pinned The Hooty ($45) on our head and picked up The Scratch ($90) fedora for the fella.
Hats off to you, Goorin Brothers.
