Admittedly, multitasking has gotten us into trouble in the past (it’s just so easy to hit reply all by mistake when the most dramatic rose ceremony ever is on in the background).
All the more reason to respect those who do it well.
Enter the new techie collaboration of fashion designer Vivienne Tam. Rocking the runway (and popping into our purse) this spring is the new HP Mini 1000 Vivienne Tam Edition digital clutch ($799), the sleekest lightweight laptop we’ve seen.
Inspired by Tam’s Spring 2009 runway collection, this mini-PC is a fusion of the designer’s Asian-Western sensibilities. We love its shiny red lacquer-look finish and peony print, plus the extra-cute Chinese character for double happiness on the Enter key (not to mention the possibility of matching our tech gear with our dress). Bonus? Best Buy will throw in a protective embroidered silk storage sleeve (and added the matching mouse to our cart).
Fashion and function rarely combine so well. With all sorts of impressive specs (and it barely tips the scales at 2 and a half pounds), this is one multitasking project that didn’t make any mistakes.
Even if we still keep the TV on too.
