Beach Bound

I was excited to write this week about the impending end of the garbage strike and the things around the city I then planned to do.

(Regardless of your thoughts on the rumoured settlement terms, I think we all want garbage service to resume and trash picked up from the parks in Toronto.)

Then the outside workers went back to the table (instead of voting on the latest offer). And the skies opened up to pour out more rain.

So between that and reading Ashley's Monday post about visiting PEI, I found myself longing for my own beach bound adventure.

Luckily, I've been able to get back to Nova Scotia for a few days every August and now can't stop thinking about my approaching trip to my mom's hometown and our Pictou County cottage. Like Ash, I plan to read, relax and enjoy the saltwater air (plus embrace the resulting curls, especially with Sam's tips).
