Pin-Pointing Some Fun
girl about t.o. Toronto
(Aug.20.09)
Movies, dinners, drinks, repeat.
That seems to be the routine my friends and I recently had fallen into. (Throw in some cottage visits for this time of year.)
Now, don't get me wrong, I love movies, I love dining out and yes, I love meeting for drinks. Really, I'm happy just hanging out with the people I enjoy.
But I started thinking that maybe I should make a more concerted effort to branch out. After all, it's not like there's any shortage of things to do in this city. (Case in point, Sarah's recent Toronto Island picnic.)
Randomly enough, for me it all started with bowling.
Yes, bowling.
A friend wanted to celebrate his birthday at Bathurst Bowlerama and well, who's going to argue with the birthday boy? We threw some (holy-heavier-than-I-expected) balls, wore some borrowed shoes and had a great time.
Earlier that same week I found myself gathering with a few friends on a Sunday night to take on Wii Sports Resort (and yes, some more bowling). The night was easy to execute, different from the norm and full of some good-natured laughs (hey, sword fighting is hard work).
So while I won't be investing in my own shoes and a polyester shirt anytime soon (I think the random factor held some of the fun for me), I really was into doing something different.
Though OK, drinks were involved.
What about you?
Do you like to make different activity plans or just chill with friends even if it's often a similar cycle?
Thought that was sweet? You'll enjoy:
