Taking it Past the Trench
girl about t.o. canada
(Nov.11.09)

Bloor street has a whole new set of eye candy.
Burberry recently opened its doors on the strip and last week they opened them up to celebrate.
I went down with my co-workers, Jenn and Kat, to raise a glass (and in the process, walked out with a long lust-list of incredible items).
The party was packed (must have been that thickest-cardstock-I've-ever-seen invite), the music came courtesy of a Guinness-heir DJ (info that came courtesy of Twitter) and the heels walking around the sweet space were high.
Thought I'd share a look:

And some of the Canadian designer guests:

Bustle's Shawn Hewson and Ruth Promislow, Jeremy Laing and Greta Constantine's Steven Wong and Kirk Pickersgill
And a few more looks from the night:

DJ Tom Guinness, MTV's Dan and Jessi plus FASHION's Acting Editor-in-Chief, Bernadette Morra (who couldn't have been more gracious after Kat -- who to be fair, isn't in editorial -- told her she looked familiar in the washrooms at the P&G Beauty Awards)
And though I know the line is famous for much more than its classic trench, it's no doubt a classic for a reason. (Check out the Sartorialist-shot, Art of the Trench, for a look at how all kinds of people are wearing and styling their own.)
