Winterlicious Wind-Up

I've lived in Toronto for five years now and I've yet to experience a 'Licious festival.

Summerlicious and Winterlicious, the prix fixe promotions offered at 150 restaurants ($15-$45 for 3-course lunches and dinners), seem like a great way to see the city.

I've just never been organized enough to make it happen (bookings fill up fast). This year I'm determined to try.

Winterlicious happens Jan. 29 - Feb. 11 and reservations recently begun.

5 Places I'd like to Taste:

Kultura ($35 dinner)
- Buffalo mozzarella stuffed naan and tempura ice cream are two things I would like to eat. Right now
Mildred's Temple Kitchen ($20 lunch)
- It's been on my list since we wrote about it and braised lamb potted pie is just the motivation I need
Mistura ($45 dinner)
- A chance to try an institution I've never visited (and butter and leek steamed clams at that)
Six Steps ($20 lunch)
- Pumpkin gnocchi sounds like a good way to warm up a winter day
Trevor Kitchen and Bar ($35 dinner)
- hello surf & turf, jumbo tiger shrimp, alberta sirloin & goat cheese poutine
